Informativa privacy
- un codice casuale creato per il Derby, con un codice segreto di cui il server conserva solo l'impronta (hash);
- la squadra che scegli: un comune italiano (codice ISTAT) oppure una nazione;
- l'indirizzo IP, da cui ricava una posizione approssimativa;
- l'ID pubblicità di Android e l'App set ID;
- dati di interazione con l'app e con gli annunci (per esempio aperture dell'app, tocchi, visualizzazioni dei video);
I tuoi diritti

Privacy policy
This policy explains how the Android app EcoShift handles the data of the people who use it.
Data controller
Gianpaolo Trotta, gianpaolo.trotta@gmail.com.
What EcoShift collects
EcoShift has no sign-in and no chat, and collects no personal data for itself. On your phone it only stores your game progress (cleared levels, stars, coins, lives, buildings, missions and the Cities of the day you played) and your preferences. This data is not sent to us or anyone else: you can erase it at any time with “Reset progress” in the game settings, or by uninstalling the app. The only exception is the Derby of the cities, if you choose to take part (see below).
Sharing and challenges
When you share a result, a challenge to a friend or the postcard of your city, the text or picture goes to the app you choose (WhatsApp, Telegram and the others) through Android sharing: EcoShift receives nothing. A challenge code only holds the level, the seed of the game, the score and the stars.
Derby of the cities (optional)
The Derby ranks towns, regions and countries by their results in the City of the day. Taking part is your choice, and it is not possible if you said you are under 13 on first launch. If you join, the app sends the EcoShift server:
- a random code made for the Derby, with a secret key of which the server only keeps a fingerprint (hash);
- the team you pick: an Italian town (ISTAT code) or a country;
- for each City of the day you play: the day, the moves of the game, the score and the app version. The server replays the moves to check the score and prevent cheating.
No name, email, contacts or phone location are sent, and the server does not store IP addresses. The standings show teams, never individual players. The server is run by the data controller on Amazon Web Services (Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, as processor) in a data center in the European Union. The legal basis is providing the service you ask for by joining (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); checking the scores also serves the legitimate interest in fair standings (Art. 6(1)(f)).
You can leave the Derby at any time with Settings › Leave the Derby and delete my data: the server deletes the code, the team and the results at once. If you do not play for 13 months, your Derby data is deleted automatically.
Links and challenge pages
The pages that open from shared links (for people who do not have the game yet) use no cookies or tracking tools and do not log IP addresses.
Advertising: Google AdMob
EcoShift is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited in the European Economic Area). To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the Google SDK may collect:
- your IP address, from which it infers an approximate location;
- the Android advertising ID and the App set ID;
- data about your interactions with the app and the ads (for example app launches, taps, video views);
- diagnostic and performance data.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your consent through Google's consent platform before loading any ad. Without consent, only non-personalized or limited ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings › Consent preferences. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in the Android settings.
Rewarded videos only play when you choose them. A full-screen ad may only appear at the end of a level you won, never in the first ten levels, at most one every three wins and every five minutes.
Google's processing is governed by its policy: policies.google.com/privacy, and by the page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Google may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the GDPR.
Legal bases
Personalized ads and access to device identifiers: your consent. Security and fraud prevention: legitimate interest.
Children
On first launch the app asks for your age. If you say you are under 13, ad requests are tagged as child-directed: only non-personalized ads suitable for children. The Derby of the cities is not offered either, and the game sends nothing to its own server.
Retention
Game data stays on your phone until you reset it or uninstall the app. Derby data stays on the server until you leave the Derby, and at most 13 months after your last game. Data collected by Google is kept according to Google's rules.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, erasure and restriction of your data, object to processing and withdraw your consent by writing to the address above. Apart from the Derby data, if you take part, we keep no data about you: for advertising data we will refer you to Google. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Italy: garanteprivacy.it).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with its update date.
